Community Keepers founded in 2013 was mainly a pilot project with a purpose to focus on low-income families in need. Long before that my husband and I were stationed at Fort Lewis Army base living on one income. It was not easy; however, we were fortunate enough to be able to provide the necessities such as diapers' for our children when they were infants without experiencing hardship, but that was not the reality for many families in our community then nor is that the reality for many families today.
We believe that by increasing the awareness of the diaper needs in our community and throughout Pierce County we can begin to address ways that we can reduce the diaper need that continues to impact low-income families.
Founded on the simple principles of empathy and compassion, Community Keepers is dedicated to partnering with local business and other charitable organizations' in the spirit of serving our most vulnerable.
